Pregnancy Update: 22 Weeks!

I cannot believe how fast this pregnancy is going by. I feel like it was just yesterday that we found out we were pregnant and now we are more than half way through. Kaci is going to be here before we know it!

Pregnancy Highlights:
How Far Along: 22 Weeks
Due date: June 12, 2012
Size of Baby: Spaghetti Squash
Heartbeat: 140's
Total Weight gain/loss: ZERO ( Thank you morning sickness. STILL!)
Maternity Clothes: Pretty much in all Maternity clothes except for a few items
Gender: It's a Girl! Kaci Rae
Movement: She is moving and kicking like crazy. I think we have a future gymnast on our hands.
Sleep:I'm sleeping pretty well through the night, I'm only having to get up once.
What I Miss: Laying on my stomach, not feeling tired all the time, and enjoying the occasional adult beverage!
Cravings: My cravings are still pretty much all over the place. One day I will crave tons of fruit and the next I'll just want BBQ chips. LOL
Symptoms: tired, breakouts, morning sickness about twice a week, and a roller coaster of emotions.
Memorable moment this week: My Brenli Boo was laying in my lap yesterday and Kaci kicked her right in the face. The reaction on her face was priceless.

Starting the Nursery

This weekend we started cleaning out the room that is going to be turned into the nursery. First project is painting!

Also on the agenda over the weekend was to start organizing the already overflowing closet. Kaci is already loved and spoiled beyond belief.

I can't wait to see this empty room get filled with lots of love over the next few months!

Total Weight gain/loss: ZERO ( Thank you morning sickness)
Maternity Clothes: Pretty much in all Maternity clothes except a few shirts still fit!
Gender: It's a Girl! Kaci Rae
Movement: She is starting to move more and more
Sleep: I'm still pretty tired during the day, but have a burst of energy every once in awhile.
What I Miss: Laying on my stomach
Cravings: My cravings are pretty much all over the place. This past week I've craved oreos and dill pickle chips!
Symptoms: Tired and occasional nausea
Memorable moment this week: A friend let me borrow her fetal heartbeat monitor. Now I can hear Kaci's heartbeat anytime I want. It has been great laying in bed at night listening to our little girl :)

2011 National Champions!!!!!

Last night was the BCS National Championship Game against Alabama and LSU. It was a great game to say the least. Alabama showed up to play and proved that they deserved to be at the National Championship. Although I am dragging this morning after being up late it is well worth with. Way to go Bama for an awesome game and an awesome finish to the 2011 season!

Whew... I have been without my computer for about two weeks and I am so glad to have it working again. I feel like I have so much to catch up on. I haven't been able to get on pinterest or read blogs in what seems like forever. On top of that I have a tons to catch you up on:

Gender: I have a feeling its a girl. We will find out tomorrow!
Movement: None yet
Sleep: I'm so tired all the time that I'm sleeping pretty good!
What I Miss: Caffeine and not feeling sick all the time
Cravings: Fruit. Especially pineapple, strawberries, and grapes. The more sour the better!
Symptoms: All day morning sickness (thank goodness for Zofran), headaches, and exhaustion
Memorable moment this week: Hearing the heartbeat and hubby noticing my baby bump!

The Greatest Sound...

All is worth it when we got to hear the heartbeat of our precious baby for the first time. It made the trip to the ER yesterday for dehydration well worth it. I could've listened to that little heartbeat all day long. All 162 beats per minute of it!

Total Weight gain/loss: Down 4lbs (MS was really bad this past week)
Maternity Clothes: Only thing I'm wearing is maternity jeans everything else is the same but clothes are starting to get a little snug.
Gender: I have a feeling its a girl. Hope to find out in 4 weeks!!
Movement: None yet
Sleep: I'm so tired all the time that I'm sleeping pretty good!
What I Miss: Caffeine and not feeling sick all the time

Memorable moment this week: Making it to 12 weeks!!! Also able to see a small baby bump forming!!

What I Miss: Caffeine and the occasional beer!!
Cravings: None really just most aversions to certain foods, mostly meats.
Symptoms: All day morning sickness (thank goodness for Zofran) and exhaustion.
Memorable moment this week: Had my first pregnancy related dream. Dreamed we had a little boy on May 30th. Guess we'll find out soon enough if it comes true!

Severe Weather Threat

It is no secret that I hate storms. Tornadoes are probably my biggest fever. I have nightmares about tornadoes and wake up shaking. When the threat of storms is mentioned my anxiety level starts rising. I start pacing the floors and get knots in my stomach as a storm approaches. My poor husband thinks I'm crazy and tries to keep me calm. However he rarely has any success. So when the weatherman said yesterday that the threat of severe weather on Wednesday is highly likely I started to panic. Just seeing and reading about these storms that has already hit much of the South doesn't help much. I'm so concerned that I even dreamed about it last night! Why did I buy a house without a basement since I leave in Tornado Alley? Guess I'll just hangout in the closet today!

Life is a Roller Coaster

This past week has been a roller coaster to say the least. I was sick all last week and the doctors still aren't sure what was causing it. Last Sunday I was in the ER with abdominal pain. We thought it was my appendix based on where I was having severe stabbing pains. After 2 rounds of blood and urine work, a CT, and constant pressing on my stomach it wasn't my appendix. Nor was it my kidneys, bladder, ovaries, or anything in stomach for that matter. So I was sent on my way with some pain meds and told I should be better in a few days.

Well 2 days later the pain had started radiating into my back and I couldn't eat without feeling sick. So to my regular doctor I went. I went through another round of blood and urine work, more pressing on my stomach and even an ultrasound to rule out gallstones/kidney stones. After all those came back good my doctor still thought it might be my gallbladder because of the symptoms I was having. She ordered another test. This particular test is a 2-3 hour scan of the liver, gallbladder, and small intestine. It measure how well my gallbladder is functioning, if I have any type of blockage, or if its leaking bile into my body. I did this can yesterday and let me just say it is not something I want to do again. I had to lay still for 2 hours without moving. Now I just have to wait for 2-3 days to get the results back.

On a brighter note I started feeling better of the weekend. I was so glad to be able to eat again without having problems. I also was full energy. I was even happy to go run errands on Saturday morning with my husband. Even he noted that I seemed to be feeling better. Even if it was because I was being extra bossy. Ha!

So now that this is all hopefully behind me I hope to get back to a normal blogging schedule this week.

I'm sorry in advance for the long and boring post :)

I don't know about you but I am so glad that today is Friday. However, this weekend is going to be super busy and I'm already predicting a lot of coffee to help get me through the weekend. Tonight I am going to a concert with some friends which means I won't be getting home until really late. Then we are heading to Alabama to see my hubby's family. Here's the kicker he wants to leave at 3AM! I seriously think he's gone crazy, but nonetheless we're leaving at an ungodly hour. On the bright side I get to sleep for a few hours in the car. Once we arrive at his parents about 7AM we're heading out to an outdoor craft show. I'm really looking forward to this. I love walking around, looking at all the vendors, and try not to spend too much money in the process.

This weekend also happens to be the Spring football came for the University of Alabama. Roll Tide!! We haven't decided if we're going to head over to campus or not. I guess it just depends on if I'm able to keep my eyes open or for the most part function! We're also going to try and go visit some friends while we're in town.

Plus we still haven't decided if we're going to stay the night at hubby's parents or not. You see Talladega also happens to be this weekend. We don't want to get stuck in the race traffic or people leaving A-Day on Sunday. Combine those two events and a husband who thinks everyone is a crappy drive (ha!) it will make for a long car ride home. So we're either going to leave Saturday night or at another ungodly hour Sunday morning!

Whew!! I'm tried just thinking about, but I should have lots to update on next week! What plans do you have this weekend?

7. Biggest Loser Power Walk at Home DVD: I like to do this in the mornings.

9. Big 90's Weekend- One of our local radio stations plays all 90's music on the weekends. Brings me back to my High School days!

10. Having the windows opened: Don't think I'll be able to keep them open much longer. It's almost time to turn the AC on.

One Step at a Time

As I mentioned yesterday I am participating in my first 10K this summer. I have been training for about 2 weeks now and yesterday I upped my intensity. I am following a walking/running training program through Sparkpeople, similar to the Couch to 5K program, and it kicked my butt last night. I thought I was ready to up the intensity but I guess not. I barely made it through 5 out of 8 intervals. I know it will get easier as the week goes on but this first day was killer. Here are my results from last night:

Week 2 Day One

Distance: 3.65 Miles

Time: 55 Minutes

I am using the motto "One Step at a Time" through my training process. I know that I can achieve my goal as long as I take it one step and one day at a time. Feel free to join or follow along with me as I continue to increase my distance and intensity. I'm going to update my progress after each run.

Well after an unintentional LONG impromptu hiatus from blogging I am back in action friends. I wish I had a great excuse as to why I took a blogging hiatus but I don't, I guess you could call it slacking off. If you were hoping that I was coming back with some exciting updates or earth shattering news I hate to disappoint you but that's just not the case either. I do have a few fun details to share with you though:

1. I recently signed up for my first 10K! I will be running/walking the Peachtree Road Race this summer. It is a big race that happens every 4th of July here in Atlanta. This will be my first time participating and I'm really looking forward to it.

2. I am also taking a girls only trip this summer to Panama City. I can't wait for this trip. No husbands, No kids, No worries for 4 days!!

3. Since I am taking a beach trip this summer I have also put my weight loss goals into high gear. That's one of the reasons why I signed up for the Peachtree. Its a way to keep me motivated. Since last month I've lost 8lbs!!

4. My husband and I have started to do some redecorating. We've been looking at new furniture, paint samples, and a few other upgrades.

5. My photography business is still going great. Looking forward to booking some new sessions soon, especially since the weather has been great!

I don't want to wish my life away or anything but I'm so glad its Friday. I don't know about you but this week seemed like it was so long and feel like I didn't get anything accomplished. This could be because I've waited until yesterday and today to get everything accomplished I needed to. You see this weekend I'm participating in a Christmas Shop some members of my family are putting on. There are a bunch of people that have set up tables to display their Christmas items that they have made. There are going to be custom camera straps, kids items, home items and much more. Plus on Sunday I have 3 photo shoots.

Its going to be a fun weekend, but super busy. I'm sure I'll have lots to update you on Monday. Do you have any fun plans this weekend?

Resisting the Urge...

I'm gonna be honest I have been resisting the urge to pull out my Christmas decorations for the last week. I'm not sure if its the cold weather or if its because I only 2 Christmas gifts left to buy. I try to wait to decorate until the week of Thanksgiving, however I'm not sure I can wait that long! Plus this weekend I'm part of a Christmas Shoppe that my family is coordinating, so we've been talking Christmas stuff for the last few weeks.

Anyone else having Christmas fever yet? I just don't want to feel like I'm the only one :)

So it seems like fall lasted for just a few days and now the cold temperatures have started to arrive. It was so cold in my house yesterday that I had to pull out the space heaters and build a fire. I was watching the news this morning and learned that the Atlanta area is under a freeze warning for this upcoming weekend. SERIOUSLY?!?!?! We still need to get our heater fixed from when it went on the fritz at the end of winter this year. I'm hoping these early cold temperatures doesn't mean we're going to have a cold winter, don't think I can handle it. For now I think my darling husband needs to make a phone call to the repairman ASAP!

Things I've Learned from Couponing

Before I started couponing my shopping habits were not that great. When I would go shopping I would try to think off the top of my head what I needed. That ended up not being very effective. Most the time I would get home and realize I forgot something or buy something I really didn’t need. Once I realized that this method just wasn’t working out I started making my weekly grocery list and budget. This helped me stay on track when going to the store and also helped save money. Though this was a great first step I wanted to stretch our dollar more. This resulted in my journey to couponing. Today I want to share with you some of thing that I’ve learned about couponing.

1. Its Highly Addicting. Once you start couponing and seeing results each week you want to save more and more. I love the fact that I will never have to pay for soap, shampoo, deodorant, or toothpaste ever again.

2. Couponing Takes Time. It takes time clipping coupons, making your list, and searching for deals. However you don’t have to clip EVERY coupon and you don’t’ have to get every deal.

3. Couponing Builds on Itself. When you sign up to receive coupons by email or mail then will get a steady supply of manufacturer’s coupons. You will also find coupons on your receipts or even on the products you buy.

4. There are several ways to coupon. You can clip every coupon you come across or you can file your coupons and pull them out when you need them. Once you get started you’ll find the method that works best for you. Look for a post soon about To Clip or Not To Clip.

5. Use Social Media to your advantage. Did you know that many coupons will put coupons on Facebook? Most the time you can “Like” them and then print out the coupon or even free offers.

6. Set up a separate Email. You don’t want to bog down your personal email. I get maybe 30+ emails a day in my couponing email.

7. Make a list of everything you buy on a regular basis. You can review this list for National Brands and go to their websites and sign up for special offers. Then you will be able to get coupons via email and regular mail.

8. Build a Stockpile. This is the biggest thing in my opinion. When an item is on sale for a ridiculously low price and you have a coupon then stock up! I don’t mean buy 2 or 3, if you have 6 coupons then buy 6 items. The more you stock up on an item then the less likely you are to pay full prize. My husband and I both have a 6-9 month supply of body was and shampoo. We probably spend a total of $15 for each of our stockpiles, which is what we would spend for 1 month.

9. Buy the smallest item your coupon will allow. Must coupons will say on valid on a certain size box or not to use on trial sizes. However there are occasions where there will be a coupon that doesn’t have a size restriction. When this happens you can score the smaller items for free!

10. Don’t feel like you have to use every coupon right away. If you use a coupon when the product isn’t on sale then you probably aren’t going to get the best deal. Wait until that product goes on sale then you can score a great deal and then stockpile on that item.

Dog IQ Test

I always new my little Dixie was smart and I thought it was time to have her intelligence tested. Thankfully Mama Kat came to the rescue and posted about the Doggy IQ Test yesterday. “The Animal Attraction” Dog IQ Test is a six part challenge as follows:

Test One: Hide treat under a can and see if your dog is smart enough to knock the can over and get the treat.

Test Two:Throw a towel over your dog and see how long it takes her to get out…or if she even tries.

Test Three: Smile at your dog and see if she recognizes you’re smiling and comes to you without being called.

Test Four: Hide a treat under a towel and see if your dog is smart enough to move the towel and get the treat.

Test Five: Place a treat under a low table and see if your dog uses her paws to get the treat out when she realizes she can’t reach it with her mouth.

Test Six: You call your dog by another name…like “refrigerator” and see if they come running!

For each challenge there is a point system based on the dogs reaction or how long it takes for them to complete the task.

Unfortunately Dixie missed being a genius by 1 point!

Cash4Gold Party

This past weekend I went to a Cash4Gold party. I have never been to one of these parties let alone heard of them before. You can host a Cash4Gold party in your home and have a consultant come to your house to appraise your gold jewelry. I went with MFA and we both expected to leave there with about $20-$30. Well we left with 3 times that and to say that we were shocked would be an understatement! Needless to say my husband liked that I went to a party and made money instead of spending it!

My Journey to Coupons.

I was never one to clip coupons on a regular basis, in fact I used to get frustrated being behind someone in the grocery store who used them. Sure I would use a coupon if I came across it, but I thought it really wasn’t worth my time. I use to tell my “How much could I really save with 30 cents here and 50 cents there”. I also thought is it really worth it to run from one store to another just to scoop up some cheap toothpaste? Sure I read about those women who paid practically nothing for over $100 worth of groceries and I always thought I would love to do that but I just don’t have time.

But times have changed and the economy isn’t looking as good as it use to. Things are becoming more expensive and the cost of living is going up. My husband and I have always followed a budget and stuck to it for the most part, but we needed to find a way to stretch every dollar we earned. So I started following a couple of couponing blogs and decided to give it a try.

The first week of serious couponing we saved about $30 on that week’s grocery bill and we were ecstatic. That might not be much to some of the more seasoned couponers but to us it felt like a million bucks. That following week I began reading and researching everything I could about couponing. That next week I had my list and coupons in hand and headed for the grocery store. I walked out of Publix with $80 worth of groceries for $20. I couldn’t believe it! Instead of walking out of the store with a frown on my face I was smiling from ear to ear. I now look forward to going to the grocery store and watching my total go down after each coupon scans.

I have now found out that yes you can really save with a 30 cent coupon, because some stores will double that coupon. I have also found that yes it really is worth going from store to store to scoop up some cheap toothpaste. I have also learned that it really doesn’t have to take that much time to coupon and you don’t have to go after every single deal. Start small and you will start to reap the benefits. So far this year we have paid off a very high balance credit card and got rid of some other debt.

As I continue to research, read and learn I thought I would share my experiences with you. My Review:

Preparation: The instructions were very clear and easy to follow. It took about 15 minutes to cook. Which is great if you need to make a quick meal.
Smell: Let's been honest this is really important when cooking a meal. If it stinks you don't want to eat it. Well the Beef & Broccoli meal smelt delicious. I couldn't wait for it to finish and dig in.
Appearance: Sometimes frozen meals leave you guessing what you're eating but this looked exactly like what the description says. You can tell the beef is beef and the veggies looked great also.
Taste: Surprisingly good. I've eaten quite a few frozen entrees in my days and this is probably one of the better one's I've tasted. Of course it doesn't taste like it came straight from the Chinese restaurant, but for being a frozen meal it was good.

Over all opinion: I would try other Wanchai Ferry products. Some of the other varieties sound quite tasty!

The hubby and I tried the new Spicy Chicken Sandwich from Chick-fil-a yesterday and we loved it! It was spicy but not so spicy you couldn't eat it. We can't wait for it to be on the menu next week.

3 Day Weekend!!

What is about three day weekends that is so exciting? Could it be the thought of not having to work for three days? Could it be the amazing sleep I get to catch up on? Could it be that I'll be at the pool most the weekend? Could it be the amazing sales going on this weekend? All I know is I'm looking forward to it and its so close I can taste it. The hubby is only work a half a day so that means he'll be home by lunch time to help me with the daycare kids. On top of that he is going to stay with the kiddos so I can go and get a much needed pedicure!! Granted they'll be napping but still I get to go and have some time to myself. Woohoo!! To top of the thought of the impending three day break, I also get to get excited about only having to work 2.5 days next week then we're off to Florida.

What are your plans for the weekend? Anyone going anywhere fun?

Dog Tired!

This is how I feel after the busy day I had today. First off the hubby and I got up at the crack of dawn to get to Old Navy for their $1 Flip Flop sale. Yes that's right we got up 6:00AM to go buy a pair of already inexpensive shoes! Then we had to rush home and get ready for a baby dedication, that happened to also be photographing. We had a great time and the baby was so cooperative. She didn't cry one time, no matter how many times I moved her to get the perfect pose. I then came home to rest up before a Prom Photo Shoot for 35 teenagers. Oh my goodness if I wasn't wiped out before this photo shoot made me even more tired. I couldn't have survived that without my girl Tracey, she was a life saver!! Now its time for me to crash so I can get up tomorrow for another photo shoot!!

Grey's Anatomy

I'm not going to go into much detail about the episode last night. For one, I don't want to spoil it for anyone that hasn't watched. Second, I don't want to bore those who don't watch it. For those that did watch it last night what did you think? Were you on the edge of your sit for most the episode like I was? I thought it was a very intense episode, so much so that I could barely sit still. I will say that I am so glad they didn't end it on a cliff hanger, however I don't think the writers could do that to us after the 2 hours they put us through. I think this has to be one of the better Grey's season finales.

Yesterday while checking out at our local Wally World I came across these yummy goodness in a bag! Since they were on $0.64 a bag I just couldn't resist the temptation. Its no secret that I love M&M's. It doesn't matter if their by themselves, in cookies, or with popcorn. My all time favorite is peanut, but at Christmas I love the Mint M&M's. So I'm sure you're wondering how they were instead of hearing about my love of this candy coated chocolate yumminess! They were pretty good. I love the sweet and salty combination, so if that's not your thing then these probably aren't going to seem to appetizing. My husband didn't really care for them because he doesn't like salty pretzels. I was okay with that, because that meant I didn't have to share! My only complaint is there really isn't that many in the bag like with a regular bag of M&M's, still I'm sure I'll pick them up again!

So do you have a favorite kind of M&M's? Or is there something new that you've tried recently?

I swore I would never be one of those people that lost there phone or lost all their phone contacts. I also swore I would never put as my FB status that I needed everyone's numbers. Well last night my phone completely died. I tried turning it on nothing happened. Tried taking the battery out and putting it back in, still nothing. Tried plugging it into the charger still nothing. Luckily I was able to get to a Verizon store before they closed and I was able to get a replacement phone! The only bad thing because we couldn't get my old phone to turn on I lost all my contacts. So nonetheless I had to turn to FB to get phone numbers. Ugh....so embarrassing!! Now I get to deal with the guess who this is messages. Oh well thank goodness for the extended phone warranty!

Breaking Point

At some point in time we all reach a breaking point. It doesn't matter if its for the good or the bad. It could be anything from having enough of bad thing or ready to start something new, it happens eventually. I hit a big breaking point yesterday. It happened out of no where and it was over something silly. You see the hubby and I have had a lot of big decision over the last few weeks. So when it hit me, it hit me hard. My poor husband had no idea what to do and he did everything within his power to make me feel better. Don't get me wrong they are all good things, but I think all the emotions over the last few weeks finally caught up with me. One of the things is a huge accomplishment for us, and I'm very excited of what's to come from it! I also have a whole post dedicated to this accomplishment later this week. Now that I look back on it, I find it all quite funny. I'm sure my husband is happy that I now find the humor in it all.

Its no secret that I love coffee! I know that I have mentioned it many times on this little ol' blog, on Facebook, and on Twitter. Before I started working at home I use to stop at Starbucks every other morning and then have a few more cups of the nasty office coffee throughout the day. One thing I can't do however is drink black, YUCK!! So, I do love me some flavored creamer. My favorite is Coconut Creme from Coffee-Mate. Its sweet enough where I don't need sugar, but its not so sweet that it makes your teeth hurt. I also love the hint of coconut, makes me feel like I'm sitting on a balcony overlooking the ocean. That is until I'm quickly snapped right back into reality.

So how do you like your Coffee? If you don't drink coffee then how do you get your morning started?

I'm off to make some more coffee... one cup just isn't going to cut it today!

This weekend is a very busy weekend for birthdays.

Today is this little cutie's birthday. Hard to believe that my little cousin "W" is already a year old. If you remember last year he had a very unique arrival into this world!

Tomorrow is the birthday party for this sweet and adorable little girl, Miss "S". She has been telling me about her party for weeks!

Last but certainly not least, my sister is turning 21 on Sunday, 21!!!! Its still hard to swallow!! My aunt and I are going to do a special birthday for her sometime this summer.

Frozen Grapes....

These are some of my favorite things to snack on during the Spring and Summer. The hubby for the longest time couldn't stand when I ate them, he has this sensitivity to watching people it frozen stuff, now he is addicted too. Its nice to have a cool and refreshing treat throughout the day without having to feel guilty. Plus its a little healthier than say snacking on a bowl of ice cream in the evenings and my hips appreciate it!

Got your attention didn't I!! It's not going to be about what you think, so get your mind out of the gutter!! This morning before the hubby left work I laughed so hard I almost spit my coffee all over the kitchen after this little comment. Let me set the scene for you:

Its a typical morning around my house. The hubby kisses me goodbye and we give our typical hope you have a good day spill. Then it happens, Jeremiah goes to grab some Gas-X and turns to me to say: "You know you're getting old when you use to keep condoms in your wallet and now you have Gas-X". With that he kissed me and walked out the door!

Static Build Up

Today we went on our weekly shopping trip the wonderful Walmart. I dread going to Walmart on the weeknights and don't even get me started on the weekends. Fighting for a parking spot and finding a line to check out that doesn't stretch halfway across the store is stressful enough. Now they have been remodeling for the last few weeks. So after finding a spot and fighting people to get in the door we started shopping, and then it started happening! Everytime we touched something metal we got shocked! So after about 45 minutes of dodging people in the aisle and watching uncontrolled kids we check out. I mentioned to our cashier about getting shocked everytime we touched something. She proceeded to tell us that the new tile and glue that was being used is causing "Extra Static Build Up". All I can think to myself is "You gotta be kidding me". Oh how I love shopping at the ol' Wally World, it gets more and more fun each time I go shopping!

and feeling better!!! I don't think my allergies/sinuses have every bothered me as much as they have this year. After 3 sleepless nights I finally went to the doctor and sure enough I had a sinus infection, my first one ever. I've had my fair share of sinus problems but never has it turned into an infection. After some good meds and rest I am ready to go!

I have been slacking off on my diet/workouts the last few weeks. Its hard to workout when you can't breath!! The good thing is I didn't gain anything over the last few weeks, but I haven't lost either. Now its time to get my behind in gear! I am so close to the 30lb mark, hopefully I can get to that on Monday!

Sorry for the lack of blogging, but the pollen/allergies is kicking my behind!

Let me recap for you:

I feel like I haven't been able to breath through my nose weeks.
My eyes are bloodshot and swollen. (If people really didn't know me the would probably think I was high!)
I have broken out in a rash about once a week.
I haven't slept well in what feels like ages. (Last night I slept maybe 4hrs)
My poor husband had to go to Walmart at 12:30 last night to get an air filter, so we could turn the air on.
He also slept on the couch last night because I was getting up so much. (I volunteered but I couldn't win!)
I haven't had a good workout, which isn't helping with the weight loss! (Kinda hard to workout when you can barely breath)
I have taken Claritin, Allegra and Benadryl. Nothing is helping! (The hubby did pick me up another brand last night!)

So needless to say I am at my wits end with this stuff!! Hopefully if it rains tomorrow all this junk will be washed away and I can get back to normal. Until then hope everyone has a great week!

This weekend is going to be a fun and busy weekend. Tonight I have Girls Night at my friend Dani's house. It sure to be a night full of fun, food, and lots of laughs. Saturday night we are headed over to Tracey's for another fun night. Her and Lucas better get ready for some Scene It! Then, Sunday is Easter. I am looking forward to church with my husband, lunch with my family, and to honor the man that died on the cross for us!

I mentioned the other day how the hubby and I had a date night at Olive Garden. If you also remember I talked about how we discovered a new wine while at dinner. See I enjoy a good glass of wine on occasion, but Jeremiah can't stand it. That is until he tried the Moscato Sweet White Wine. It has a very sweet and light fruity taste to it, which makes it easy to drink. He liked it so much that on Saturday we went to a local wine store and got 4 bottles! So, if you are looking to try a new wine but don't like the strong taste, I definitely recommend a Moscato.

The Dress Fits!!!

Back in January I did a post about what motivates me to start living a healthier lifestyle and get in shape. If you remember I posted about this dress that I wanted to fit into for my sister's graduation in June.
Well as of last I needed a little motivation and just wanted to see how close I was to fitting into. Low and behold when I put it on it fit! I was so excited I started screaming and ran downstairs to show my hubby. So it looks like I'm going to need a new dress to wear come June!! I am a little more than half way to my June goal weight. I am loving that I can fit in to clothes that I haven't been able to in awhile!!

Weekend Wrap-up

This weekend was full of fun, friends, shopping, date night, and so much more. I thought that I would do a bullet list of everything that went down this weekend.

Friday Night the hubby and I had our monthly date night. We went to Olive Garden for dinner, thanks to the wonderful in-laws. We also discovered about a new wine while there. I have a whole post prepared for this said new wine!
Saturday morning we started off the morning by going on a search for our new favorite wine. Also while I got a quick workout in the hubby did some things around the house.
Saturday afternoon I went to a jewelry party with my girl, Tracey. I had a hard time narrowing down what I wanted. I seriously wanted something off of every page of that catalog.
Saturday evening the hubby and I started practicing our mad softball skills. We are participating in a softball tournament to support Breast Cancer. Lets just say we have our work cut out for us!
Today was a day of relaxation, which was nice since it was a rainy day. Having a nice Sunday afternoon nap wasn't too bad either.

I've ran fever most of the morning and my swollen tonsils makes it look I have a huge walnut in the back of my throat. Circle E Candles: Birds of Paradise: This is best candle, it gives out the best fragrance. I can smell it all over my house, even upstairs!

Yoplait Smoothies: I tried this for the first time the other day and it was so yummy. Plus 1 smoothie only has 110 Calories.

30 Day Shred: I have mentioned it many times before, and that's because I've had great results from it. So much so that I started it again last week.

A Letter To Spring Foward...

Dear Time Change,

I am not very fond of you today. Yes you bring longer days. Yes your presence means that Spring is very close. However, I do not like loosing an hour of sleep. I do not like the fact that I didn't get much sleep to begin with last night and now I have to face Monday. If Monday morning's weren't hard enough, now I have to deal with you on top of it. The theme this week at iheartfaces is "Bundled Up" and I had no problem finding a picture this week. We've had quite a few snow days this year in the lovely south and it has been a very long winter. The picture I wanted to use this week is of one of my friend's kid, Logan. He was so exicted to see the snow and I just love the expression on his face.

I got way too much sun yesterday, but it was so worth it. Oh how I've missed sitting outside enjoying the warm sun and reading a book. Who cares that my legs and arms are on fire from getting burnt. I soaked up every moment of the sunny warm goodness. I plan on doing it again today if the weather stays nice, but maybe I'll add a little sunscreen!!

Kill Them With Kindness

You know the expression "you attract more bees with honey than with vinegar", well last night at dinner this became very true. The hubby and I decided last night to have an impromptu date night at the Cheesecake Factory. After a very long week it was nice to go out and spend the evening together. Being that it was almost 7:30 when we got to the restaurant, to say that they were busy would be an understatement. While we were waiting for our table we headed over to the bar to watch the basketball game and a table became available there. So, instead of waiting we just decided to eat there. It didn't take to long for our food to arrive, but the waiter didn't have Jeremiah's dinner. He had put in the wrong order and was very sorry that Jeremiah's food would be out shortly. Well instead of getting upset about the mistake my husband was very nice and told the waiter it was no big deal, it happens. Two minutes later the manager came over to apologize for the inconvenience. Again Jeremiah told her it was no big deal and mistakes happen. Once his meal arrived the manager came over again and told us that because of our kindness that she was going to give us two free desserts. Of course we told her that wasn't necessary but HELLO..... FREE CHEESECAKE!!!!! So needless to say we were quite happy that we decided to go to dinner and not wait for a regular table!!

Now I just need to go run on the treadmill for a few hours to work off that cheesecake!!

The Battle of the Furnace: Part 2

So back in December the ignitor on our furnace went out, that was a fun few days. Ha! Then a few days after that something else went wrong with it. Now the darn thing is broken again!! We called a technician out on Tuesday to come look at it, the verdict we need a new furnace. Great!! So now the debate begins of whether we should to replace it, hold off for a few weeks in hopes that Spring is just around the corner, or live off space heaters to save up to replace it in the fall. Walking out of our room this morning felt like I was walking into a block of ice and I just want to replace it now. I am still holding onto the hope that Spring is fastly approaching.

I Just Don't Get It....

For the past 8 weeks I have been watching what I eat and busting my booty working out. Some weeks I would do great and loose 3-4lbs and the next I would loose nothing. So I just figured that is how my body works, one week I loose the next I don't. I can leave with that as long as I'm not gaining!!! This past week however has thrown me for a loop. I worked out twice last week and I didn't step foot on the dreadmill till Sunday night. My mom and sister were here this weekend and I ate like crap. To keep with my routine I still weighed this morning.... I lost 3.5lbs last week!!!! How is that possible?!?! Don't get me wrong I am so happy, but I'm more confused than anything. Just when I think I have it figured out on how I loose weight, I get thrown for a loop. Oh well, I'm not complaining I'm just glad I've stuck with it for 8 weeks and next week I will hopefully hit the 20lb mark.

Off to work on a post to recap the wonderful weekend I had with my mom and sister. Did you guys do anything fun this weekend?

I can't remember the last weekend where it wasn't raining, the sun was shinning and it wasn't cold. This coming weekend however is supposed to be warm and no rain!! You can better believe that I will be outside soaking up some rays and thawing out. Hope everyone has a great weekend. Does anyone have any fun plans?

The Big Bang Theory has to be one of the funniest shows that the hubby and I watch. My in-laws have tried to get us to watch it for awhile but we didn't want to add another show to our running list. Well for Christmas this year they got us the first season on DVD and we've been hooked since the first episode. This series revolves around 2 socially awkward physicists, 2 engineers (one of which can't talk to women), and their attractive neighbor Penny. The show has nothing to do with the theory of the Big Bang, but it is full of geek humor and their inability to understand girls. Of all the characters on the show Sheldon is by far my favorite. He has so many funny and weird quirks that you just can't help but to laugh at him.

Does anyone else watch The Big Bang Theory? Or what is a show that recently got in to?

Do you ever have dreams about someone or a group of people you use to hang out with and don't anymore? Last night I dreamed about the same thing all night. Even though I would wake up, but as soon as I went back to sleep I started dreaming about it again. It was very strange and its kept me wondering why in the world am I dreaming this.

Has anyone else had a dream about someone or something and wondered why am I dreaming this?
